• Body Style : MINIVANS ONLY! Any NORTH AMERICAN or FOREIGN Produced, Front, Rear or All wheel drive.
• Body Appearance : All glass except windshield shall be removed. All moldings, ornaments, door handles and plastic components will be removed. Grills may be left in. If removing the windshield then uprights will be added for support and mesh added for protection. If running mesh, helmets must have a visor. If using stock glass windshield uprights must be added to keep glass from coming into cabin. All vans must have a removable receiver hitch mandatory.
• Interior : All flammable materials must be removed, except for front driver's seat. (dash removal optional) Air bag equipped vehicles must have air bags removed. Seat belts shall remain with the inertia belts to be locked in a tight position for the driver of the van. It is recommended that a racing seat and harness be used.
• Battery : Must be securely anchored and mounted inside the van in a spill proof container. Preferred location is as far forward as possible behind the seats.
• Brakes : Stock –four wheel hydraulic brakes in good working order and are subject to test and inspection.
• Fire Control : Must have an approved fire extinguisher secured and within reach when driver is belted in.
• Apparel : Race suit is MANDATORY. Helmets Snell 95 or newer. Helmets must be in good condition.
• Engine : Shall remain stock for year make and model. Radiator is to be filled with water absolutely no antifreeze. Rear wheel and All wheel drive vans must have two drive shaft hoops mandatory. Drive shafts must be painted white.
• Electrical : Working charging system and starting system mandatory.
• Doors : Are to be bolted, welded or chained shut. Rear doors with center post can have the center post removed. Drivers door window net mandatory. Slider side door can be secured in such a way as the driver can unlatch it to exit the van.
• Exhaus t: Must exit out and behind the driver.
• Firewall and Floor : Original front firewall must remain and all holes in firewall and floor must be covered with 22 gauge steel welded or riveted in place.
• Fuel System : Gas tank must be removed and a fuel cell or boat tank must be securely mounted in the middle of the vehicle, inside a steel box for safety. On fuel injected vehicles a shut off switch to the fuel pump must be mounted within reach of the driver and clearly marked on and off. All vans must have a kill switch mounted within reach from outside the van clearly marked and painted red.
• Mirrors : Any combination of mirrors may be used inside driver's compartment, no external mirrors.
• Paint and Lettering : Be creative, crowd appealing, numbers on the roof and both sides pick yourself a nickname or something to call your creation. E.g.: Raybo the Show Stopper, Fordzilla the Crowd Thrilla. The flashier the better. Drivers door to be painted white in contrast to the rest of the vehicle. The rest of the vehicle is not to be white.
• Hood : Latch to be removed and easily opened. (Hood pins) May cut a 12 inch hole in the center of the hood for fire access.
• Roll Cage : Minimum cage Enduro style, four uprights around the driver's compartment. Two bars down drivers and passengers doors. All seats are to have a back brace off the roll cage.
• Tires and Rims : Max tire size for model being used. DOT approved tires only. Max, size 2357515, 70 or 75 series tires only. Stagger allowed. No LT tires except for right front. No R. Compound allowed. Tires must meet tech approval.
• All vans must pass track safety tech before each event.
• General track rules apply
• ALL DRIVERS MUST SIGN A WAIVER . $25.00 registration fee waived of registered with another class at VARNEY MOTOR SPEEDWAY.
• # of events and dates T.B.A. each race is different.
• Payouts - $60.00 Tow money per event. Must attend 80% of events to be eligible for year end trophy. “ Payouts for clean-up”
• Race Rules : Is at the discretion of officials in charge. Aggressive racing may result in a black flag and forfeit of tow money, and may also be subject to future race suspensions.
• In the event that a van is deemed to be dangerous during the race either for poor mechanical reasons or reckless driving the race may be red flagged and the van will be asked to leave the track. This will be for the safety of all competitors.
• Most of this is for fun, in the end we all win. Just remember “ It's not racing its vantastic.

“The rules and / or specifications set forth herein are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of racing events and to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events. By making application for a competitor permit, it is deemed that the competitor agrees to become familiar with these regulations and abide by the directions set forth and prescribed by Varney Motor Speedway. No express or implied warranty of safety shall result from publication of, or compliance with these rules and / or specifications. They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guaranty against injury or death to participants, spectators or others”.
