NEW MIRROR RULE

In an effort to improve safety for drivers anyone running a race seat with containment sides on both sides will be allowed to run a mirror regardless of the class they are running in.  Anyone deemed to be using a mirror for blocking will be black flagged!

Track Updates April 24, 2011

Varney Speedway is pleased to announce that John Woolner will be returning to the flag stand part time this coming season.  John as many will remember has flagged at the track on and off over the seasons and is always here to flag the “Rick Woolner Memorial”.  We look forward to having John back at Varney Motor Speedway!

The Tire rule has been amended one more time to hopefully make it work better for the teams which will have to use it this season.  Please review the Super Street Stock Rule 33, Limited Late Model Rule 22 and limited changes to the All Pro Modified Rule 25.  Also I would ask all drivers who wish to preorder tire sizes to let me know what they are looking for at gmvms@xplornet.ca if you don’t let me know what size you need then don’t complain if we don’t have them.  Also drivers who preorder sizes will have first come first serve privileges when the tires come in.

Varney Speedway Car Show:
Our car show is fast approaching May 7th at the Durham Rona Building Centre parking lot.  Please RSVP me at gmvms@xplornet.ca if you are planning to bring your car out so that we may put some advertising together.  This would be a great way to kick the season off for your sponsors and the track!
Car show will run from 9AM until around 3PM if the weather is nice ( and it will be ) anyone displaying their car that wants to do a few laps afterwards I can open up the track.  Also the Mount Forest Patriots will be doing a BBQ that day in the RONA parking lot.

Swap Meet April 30th:
The Swap Meet is fast approaching so tell one tell it is more than just car stuff anyone who wishes to come display their products are more than welcome.  There is no admission and plenty of free space to set up in the pits, plus the food booth will be open!
